*Conveniently situated in the west of LuKang.

*Wide school boundary; with many newly established communities.

*Rich in arts, crafts and historical sights.

*Students coming from diverse cultures and communities complicate management problems.

*New school, new scope; full of hope,  and prosperity in everything.

*Able to project the distinction and direction of the school; to expand  potential of students.   

*Lacking team effort to create school distinction, though the school has entered its eighth year of service in this locality.

School Struction

*Consist 60 classes, including one remedial and one kindergarten class.

*As a big school, it may advance the co-operative efforts among teachers.

*Rapid growth of communities increases the pressure to expand classes, which in turn complicate supervision.

*Effective control of student enrolment may stabilize class size.

*The size of 8 to 10 classes in each grade may advance support and team efforts among teachers.

*The rapid increase of class number may reduce student activity space and the use of  special subject classroom.

Facilities and Equipments

*School environment and facilities are new, beautiful and upgraded progressively every year.

*The lack of a big student activity hall restricts the promotion of some student activities.

*Storage of school finance.

*We apply for government subsidy to modernize teaching facilities.

*Expand CALL resources to offer multimedia learning opportunities.

* School facilities and equipments are limited.

 *Simplify procedures to reduce teachers’ workload.

*Lack learning independence and initiative

*Need improvement in the following areas: life skills, physical fitness, spoken and written communication skills in Chinese and English, finally, computer skills.

goal oriented projects.

*Advance award system to motivate diligence and excellence.

Parents and families

*Mostly supportive and co-operative of school policies and management.

*Volunteers are the best companion of school.

*Parents’ involvement is the most profitable resource.

* Some parents have no time to discipline their children and help them in their studies.

* Co-operation between PTA and teachers assist teaching and management. *Involve parent participation and discussion of school matters.

*Advance parent education for mutual, personal growth. 

* Some parents have conflicting education beliefs from teachers.

*The increased involvement of parents may complicate issues.


Resources and Paticipation


*Helping out with school affairs without interference.

 *Sharing resources.

*The concept of ’Community School’ encourages cooperative interaction between school and communities.
